CAPPADOCIA TOUR - 3 Days

DAY 1 - DEVRENT VALLEY - MONK'S VALLEY - AVANOS - GOREME - UCHISAR CASTLE

Pick up from your hotel at 09:30. Depart from your hotel to visit Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. Drive to Pasabag (Monk's Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Drive to the city of Avanos. In the afternoon visit another beautiful open air museum at Goreme, where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Lastly,before returning to your hotel at 5 pm, visit the natural castles at Uchisar.

DAY 2 - RED VALLEY - GULLUDERE VALLEY - CAVUSIN VILLAGE - PIGEONS VALLEY - KAYMAKLI UNDERGROUND CITY - ORTAHISAR CASTLE

Depart from your hotel to visit Red valley and explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 5 km through the Gulludere valley. Then visit Cavusin village. This village is famous for the houses and churches of the christian clegymen. After lunch, drive to the Pigeons Valley. In the afternoon visit Kaymaklı underground city, where early Christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit the natural castles at Ortahisar.

DAY 3 - DERINKUYU UNDERGROUND CITY - IHLARA VALLEY 

Depart from your hotel for Derinkuyu Underground city to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by early christians where they could hide from persecutors. From Derinkuyu continue to the beautiful valley of Ihlara, formerly known as peristerema. Explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 4 km through the valley. On the way back visit the monastaries in Selime village and 13 century Caravansarai built by Selcuk Turk's on the silk road.

Devrent Valley is one of the few untouched area of Cappadocia. This valley is only shaped by erosion. Another name of the valley is Imaginary Valley. Because this valley has the animals shaped chimney. You can see hares, camels, snakes, seals, dolphins, gazelles....may be others.

Pasabag (Monk's Valley) has the most beautiful fairy-chimneys in Cappadocia. Those chimneys, are taller than 10 meters, has double or triple rock caps.

Avanos is located near the Kizilirmak which is the longest river in Turkey. This town is famous about producing potters which are used Kizilirmak's mud. During visiting you can make own potter after short lesson :)

Goreme is best known and the most visited area of Cappadocia. There are the most beautiful rock cut churches (belong 11st - 12nd - 13rd centuries - with frescos) in Goreme Valley which has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1984. 

Uchisar Castle you are the highest point of the Cappadocia Region. That's perfect opportunity for observation of Cappadocia.

Red Valley is located between Goreme and Cavusin Village. You can see some cave church and Pigeon Valley is named, because of pigeon houses.

Kaymakli Underground City has ten levels, several chapels, warehouses, stables and also a ventilation duct. This city was began to excavate by Hittites.

Ortahisar Castle is located middle of the Cappadocia area. You can observe entire Cappadocia area and also Mt. Erciyes.

Derinkuyu Underground City has 11 floors to a depth of approximately 85 m. Thousand of people lived in this city in its time. Derinkuyu, the largest underground city, has also connected other underground city with the tunnels.

Ihlara Valley is 16 km long gorge cut into volcanic rock in the southern part of Cappadocia. There are the rock cut underground houses and churches in the valley. Norrow gorge helped the first Christians to hide from Roman Soldiers.
