Shashot Travel was founded by two lifelong friends who have shared a passion for exploring Turkiye since their school years. What began as countless journeys together eventually grew into a boutique travel company built on the belief that every traveler deserves a personal and authentic experience.

The Story Behind Our Name
Our name, Shashot (pronounced Şaşot), is inspired by the deep-rooted traditions of Turkiye's Eastern Black Sea region. In the local dialect, Shashot refers to the highlander, while Shashotkovan is the traditional name of the delicate autumn crocus.
When this flower begins to bloom across the misty mountains, it quietly signals that the highland season has come to an end and it is time to return home. For generations, the flower became known as Shashotkovan because its bloom marked the journey back from the highlands. More than a sign of changing seasons, it became a symbol of homecoming, cherished memories, and the meaningful return after every journey.
That timeless tradition inspired the name Shashot and continues to inspire the journeys we create today. We believe every trip should leave you with more than photographs—it should leave you with stories worth telling.
