SATURDAY WALK EYUP MOSQUE PIERRE LOTI HILL YEDIKULE DUNGEONS TOUR
Pick up from your hotel around 08:30am. First, we will visit Eyup Mosque (Eyup al Ansari who was the bearer of Prophet Muhammed) and the Mausoleum of Sokullu Mehmet Pasha who was grand vizier of Selim II and the Mausoleum of Sultan Resat. Then, we will walk in Eyup Cemetery and climb up to Pierre Loti Hill. After that, we will drive to Yedikule to see Yedikule Dungeons where many diplomats were imprisonedwhen the Ottoman Empire declared war in Istanbul. We will also see the walls, gates, Orthodox Patriarchs Cemetery, Balikli Ayazma church on our way. At the end of tour, we will walk along the wall from Belgrate Gate to Silivri Gate. Return to your hotel around 17:30.

Golden Horn was the ancient natural and secure harbour of Istanbul. Greek, Jewish, Armenian communities lived with Turkish people together along the shores of Golden Horn.
Eyup Mosque and Eyup Tomb are most sacred sites in Istanbul. Eyup Mosque was built in 1453 by Fatih Sultan Mehmet (Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror) over the tomb of Eyup Sultan (Halid bin Zeyd Ebu Eyyub). Eyup sultan was the standard bearer for the Prophet Mohammed and also the last survivor of his trusted companions.
Pierre Loti Hill was named after a French naval officer and novelist who lived in Istanbul. Now, it is famous for its spectacular views over the Golden Horn and is home to a famous cafe.
City Walls initially was built by Constantine for protecting the city against attacks from both sea and land. After growing the city, the double line of the Theodosian Walls was built in the 5th century.
