From the battlefields of 1915 to the legendary cities of the ancient world, this two-day journey connects three remarkable chapters of Anatolian history. Begin with the ANZAC battlefields of Gallipoli, then travel south to Troy and Assos, where ancient myths, archaeology and stunning Aegean landscapes come together.
DAY 1 – Historic Gallipoli Tour: ANZAC Battlefields & WWI Memorials (L)
Pick up from your hotel in Sultanahmet between 06:30 - 07:00 (pick up time is 06:00am for hotels in Taksim area). Travel to Eceabat and begin your exploration of the Gallipoli Peninsula, one of the world's most significant World War I battlefields.
After lunch, follow the route of the ANZAC campaign, visiting Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery and the ANZAC Commemorative Site.
Continue to the Respect to Mehmetcik Statue, Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Johnston's Jolly, where preserved Turkish and Allied trenches offer a vivid connection to the battlefield.
The tour continues to the 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial, The Nek and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, before finishing around 17:30.

DAY 2 – Ancient Troy & Assos: Legendary Ruins & Aegean Views (B, L)
After breakfast, leave the Gallipoli Peninsula behind and travel south towards Troy, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world.
Troy – Where Myth Meets History
Explore the ancient city of Troy, immortalized by Homer's Iliad. Discover the famous Trojan Horse, the ancient city walls, the remains of Troy I through Troy IX, the Bouleuterium and the Odeon, while learning how successive civilizations occupied this legendary site.
After visiting Troy, continue towards Assos, one of the most spectacular ancient settlements on the Aegean coast.
Assos – Ancient Ruins Above the Aegean
After lunch, explore the ancient city of Assos (Behramkale), dramatically situated above the Aegean Sea.
Climb to the Acropolis and Temple of Athena for panoramic views, then discover the ancient city walls, Necropolis, Theatre and Ancient Harbour. The combination of archaeological remains and the surrounding Aegean landscape makes Assos a memorable final stop.
After the tour, return to Eceabat and depart for Istanbul, arriving at your hotel at approximately 21:30.

Assos, also known as Behramkale, is small historical town. It was founded by Aelion colonies who came from Lesbos Island. Aristotle opened an Academy in this city. St. Paul also visited the city during his third missionary journey.
ANZAC Cove is the historic landing site where the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) came ashore on 25 April 1915, marking the beginning of the Gallipoli Campaign. Overlooking the beach is the famous Ataturk Memorial, featuring Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's heartfelt tribute to the mothers of the fallen Allied soldiers, symbolizing peace, respect, and reconciliation between nations.
Chunuk Bair is one of the highest and most significant points on the Gallipoli Peninsula. In August 1915, New Zealand forces captured the summit during one of the campaign's fiercest battles. Today, the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial honors the soldiers who fought and lost their lives in this historic battle.
Johnston's Jolly was one of the most heavily contested positions during the Gallipoli Campaign. Visitors can still see the remarkably preserved Turkish and Allied trenches, offering a unique insight into the close-quarters fighting. The cemetery commemorates soldiers who lost their lives during the campaign, including members of both the Australian and New Zealand forces.
Lone Pine Cemetery & Memorial named after the solitary pine tree that once stood on the battlefield, Lone Pine Cemetery is the final resting place of more than 1,000 soldiers, many of them Australian. The nearby Lone Pine Memorial is one of the five major ANZAC memorials on the Gallipoli Peninsula and commemorates thousands of Australian soldiers with no known grave.
