DAY 1 - GALLIPOLI TOUR (L)
Pick up from your hotel in Sultanahmet between 06:30 - 07:00 (pick up time is 06:00am for hotels in Taksim area). Then, we will drive to Eceabat. We will have the lunch after arriving Eceabat and will start visiting Gallipoli. We will see Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, ANZAC Commemorative Site, Respect to Mehmetcik Statue, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnston's Jolly (Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels), 57. Regiment Turkish Memorial, The Nek, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. Tour finishes around 17:30.
Accommodation in Eceabat
Pick up from your hotel around 08:00. We will drive to Troy. We will see the Trojan Horse, Sacrificial Altars, The 3700 year old city walls, Houses of Troy I, 3000 B.C. - 2500 B.C., The Bouleuterium (Senate Building), The Odeon (Concert Hall), Current excavations in progress, Remains of the various cities from Troy I through to Troy IX. Tour finishes around 10:30. Then, we will drive to Assos.
After lunch, we will start visiting Assos. We will see: Acropolis with a stunning view, Temple of Athena, City walls, Ottoman Mosque, Necropolis, Theatre, Ancient harbour. Tour finishes around 15:30. Return to Eceabat.
Depart from Eceabat at 17:30 and return to your hotel in Istanbul around 23:00.
Troy is in the UNESCO World Heritage List and Gallipoli is in the tentative list of UNESCO.
